I don't know who said "Give them roses while they can still smell them" but it sure makes sense. Who are the people that we most care about that each day we let slip by without acknowledging their existence, sharing our hearts and thoughts with them?
It's sad when you think about it isn't it? You wake up, get into your weekday or weekend routine almost in robot mode. Most of us never think that this moment that you look at your spouse, you child, mother, sister, brother, best friend could be the last time that you ever get the chance to express your thoughts and feelings toward them. I believe that is how most people, when something does happen, have issues beyond the normal grief that one feels at a loss.
So my message today, I think you already get it. Make today Mother's Day, Father's Day, Valentine's Day, or someone else's Special Day. Take the time to write that Thank you note, send flowers or a card "just because". After all, aren't those the most special reasons and the most appreciated too! Yes, tomorrow IS a new day, but let's not waste the one that we have been given today as the Present!
Another Beautiful Day?!

What is it that you see?
Have you ever seen those pictures where if you look at it one way, it looks like a young lady, beautiful with pearls and a hat? But if you look at it another way it looks like an old lady that is all wrinkled and well...old? That is exactly how each and every day is. You choose to see it how it is, and how it is going to be for you.
This morning I woke up after locking my animals out of my bedroom. All night long at near every half hour marks, they were waking me. The three dogs seemed like I had three toddlers! One needed to go to the bathroom, another wanted a drink of water, or just wanted to be near "momma". At the time it seemed like it was a vicious cycle with the three of them, or a joke that perhaps they thought humorous and I did not. None the less, the result was very little sleep for me, until I locked them out of my room. That lasted three hours before my youngest daughter came and opened the door.
Now for some that may seem a bit frustrating. For me however, I saw it as a wonderful thing. I was glad my daughter came in to check on me. To make sure I was ok. After all, I NEVER sleep in. She was concerned about her "momma" and once she came and gave me a good morning hug and kiss, she was off to reading a book.
Remember, for each and every single things that happens, there is something we can show gratitude for, something to be glad about. Here's to wishing you and yours a very happy and safe weekend!
